Consultations
Consultations can be arranged directly by phone or following referral by a dentist. The Reigate Specialist Orthodontic Practice is a private practice. No NHS treatment is undertaken.
The parents of young patients are very welcome to come into the surgery. In fact, this applies to any patient who needs the moral support or help of a friend or relative.
First of all, we listen to our patients. We then carry out an examination of the face, mouth and teeth. This is often sufficient to determine treatment need, the broad options for treatment and likely costs.
The full consultation process necessitates x-rays and impressions for plaster models with a second visit to discuss matters in detail.
If treatment is necessary and agreed, the details and costs are always confirmed in writing before treatment begins. We also send a clinical report to the general dentist for information.
